The Puffin Weekly Planner 2014 - For sale

THE PUFFIN 2014 Weekly Planner by Anne Ueland

Here you have the opportunity to buy a weekly planner for 2014 with 69 pictures of puffins from Latrabjarg in Iceland and Runde in Norway. Maybe you know someone who would like this as a Christmas present? It has been really fun to make this book, which will be a great pleasure for me in the next year.

Puffins

I must admit I'm really in love with the puffins. They are so beautiful, entertaining with funny poses. I laughed out loud many times of the entertainment they gave me.  It was a wonderful experience to photograph these birds, and I look forward to another opportunity.

Let The Hot Water Steam

Let the hot water steam,
and carry out all your stress,
let steam fly far, far away,
to dissolve and disappear,
so you get healing and peace
into your heart, mind and soul.
(Poem by Anne Ueland)

Deildartunguhver is a hotspring in ReykholtsdalurIceland. It is characterized by a very high flow rate for a hot spring (180 liters/second) and water emerges at 97 °C. It is the highest-flow hot spring in Europe. (Source: Wikipedia)

Crazy Flying

Crazy flying at Aukreyri 22 June 2011. Scary to watch, but it went fortunately well.

Would you be a passenger on these aircraft stunts?

Waterfalls on Iceland

The Goðafoss (Icelandicwaterfall of the gods or waterfall of the goði) is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. It is located in the Mývatn district of North-Central Iceland at the beginning of the Sprengisandur highland road. The water of the riverSkjálfandafljót falls from a height of 12 meters over a width of 30 meters.

Dynjandi (also known as Fjallfoss) is a set of waterfalls located in Westfjords (Vestfirðir), Iceland. The waterfalls have a cumulative height of 100 metres (330 ft)

Dynjandi is in fact a series of seven waterfalls, and this is Hrísvaðsfoss

Hraunfossar (Borgarfjörður, western Iceland) is a series of waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming over a distance of about 900 meters out of the Hallmundarhraun, a lava field which flowed from an eruption of one of the volcanoes lying under the glacier Langjökull.

Black Guillemot - Cepphus grylle

On the small island Flatey on Iceland, I were lucky to meet this beautiful birds.
The black Guillemot is a member of the auk family.
Here the bird has a butterfish (Pholis gunnellus)  for dinner.

I wonder what they are twittering about here?
The bird on the right looks really like a spitfire.

Sad Puffins

I don't think they were sad these puffins. But these images reflect more how I feel today. Totally devastated and appalled by the dreadful acts that happend on Utøya and Oslo Friday 22.07.2011. My thoughts goes to all involved in this unimaginable tragedy.

Puffins arrive Látrabjarg

Látrabjarg is one of Iceland's largest bird cliffs with a
Puffin colony on the cliff edge, especially at Bjargtanger.
And here it is highly unusual, since the Puffins are
not frightened of humans and thus easy to approach.
