Himalayas and Mount Everest

I did not climb Mount Everest, but I touched it with my heart.

I had a once-in-a-lifetime experience on board
Buddha Air's Everest Experience Flight to Mt. Everest on 10.October 2010.
(Easy date to remember)

Greater One-horned Rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis)

We were out on an elephant safari in the jungle in Chitwan (Nepal) to discover the wildlife that live there. I must admit that I were so pleased that I were sitting high on an elephant when we met this rhino. But to shoot from the top here were a challenge. It were cramped and painful, and the elephant went with his rhythm, which were not as easy to follow. But I got shot a few pictures of the rhino.

Himalayas

We drove an hour from Porkhara up in the mountains
- a panorama unparalleled in front of us.
From here we went for a 3 hour scenic trek down to Sarankot,
Pokharas most famous panoramic point where you
have views over large parts of the Himalayas.

Chital Deer

To ride an elenfant on the jungle safari and then shoot sharp images of these Chital deer, who run so fast between the trees were too difficult. But I still want share these with you. Incredibly fun experiences to see these in the Chitwan National Park, Nepal.

Crocodile Safari, Nepal

Have you ever pinched your arm because you think you're dreaming? Here I had to do it. We are on the canoe trip in the jungle of  Chitwan National Park, and suddenly I see a big crocodile, only about 10 yards from me. I must admit it flew many horror movies through my head then. But luckily it was quiet and just observed us.

This is another one that relax and swim away from us in the river.

We left the canoe and walked into the jungle, where we also saw a crocodile
on the other side of the pond.
Reassuring that it was a long distance from us.
